Sqd Ldr W A (Bill) Webb

25th July 1915 - 9th March 2002

RAF ST George's Memorial Chapel
Biggin Hill Airport
Saturday 13th April 2002

Attended by more than 220 friends and colleagues from all over the UK, and from Spain, Portugal, and Holland, this service was to celebrate the life of this remarkable and gentle man.
Tributes were read at the service, which was conducted by the Reverend Chris Kitchener, by Bill's son, Peter, by Garry Studd, and by Bill Hodgeson.
Following the service, those present attended a reception at Bill's "local" - the Pilots Pals Bar on the airfield, where a lone DeHavilland Dove flew a flypast in salute to the man to whom so many of us owed so much.
